Market Collective was born out of response to the pandemic eliminating venues for many of our friends in the handmade community. Understanding the value of in person shopping and the desire for the public to shop artisan made, the three of us saw this as a calling to support so many we love in a niche industry we value to our cores. Market Collective started as a pop up on October 3 2020, and we quickly heard from our 100+ Vendors and shoppers how much value the store was for them in all of the ways. That felt good, and we knew we could do more..

We carry primarily local, handmade items and a couple of artisan’s work from across Canada. Our products are a diverse array of items from grassroots to more established makers.

Market Collective exclusively sells items (through consignment) of Canadian Artisans. Originally at the start, all of the Vendors were personal friends of the store’s creators and asked to participate due to losing the ability to sell at so many of their regular venues. Since the first few months we have added more and more Vendors seeking new spaces to host their works- and we are so grateful for the opportunity to do so.
